” Picture Organic Clothing presents the British Indoor Championships 2014

Chill Factore, Manchester – 11th October 2014

With the delirium of Sochi 2014 still very fresh in our minds, we welcome Picture Organic Clothing to the table to present the Picture British Indoor Snowboard and Freeski Championships at Chill Factore on Saturday 11th October to uncover the next crop of superstars – the Country expects.

Freestyle snowsports has never been in better health – you may have heard a certain something about a medal and a subsequent lobbing of extra funding at Team GB’s park and pipe efforts. More than ever, the British Championships continues its pivotal role in providing promising young things the stage to seek both adulation and the attentions of Team GB selectors.

9 times British Champion and Olympic Finalist Jamie Nicholls commented, “The British Indoor Championships will always be special to me as I started at 9 years old. It played a massive role in giving me experience and recognition and I honestly believe Team GB would not be in the position it is in without it – we all came through the ranks… and loved it.”

Returning to the Snowsports’ Centre of Excellence at Chill Factore, park shapers are currently whittling through plans to drop a next level set-up with multiple zones and transfer lines for what remains the highest level of open competition in the UK, as well as catering for the younger groms and the broader ability that our National Championships thankfully attracts.

To remain progressive and push rider slope time, the Champs continues its rider-focused jam format which never fails to max out on creativity, drama and athlete stoke. Kicking off with an open jam session of all zones, riders will session the entire slope for a thigh-burning 90 minutes giving ample time to lock into the course and throw down before the field is cut in half.  The remaining riders will then session one zone at a time with the field being continually cut after each round, ending with a mega shred-off on the final zone.
